Business Opportunities- You believe what you want to believe.
I get lots of e-mail from subscribers complaining about this business opportunity or
that business opportunity they have bought. “It’s a fraud” they shout, “it does not do what was claimed for it. It’s a waste of money”.
And do you know they are usually dead right.
This is called being wise after the event. When I read the sales letter for which ever
offer they are complaining about it is usually pretty obvious that whatever is being
advertised will fail to live up to its promises.
Basically these “opportunities “ offer big returns for little or no work. And this is why they do so well in selling the product they are promoting. Hands up anyone who would not like a big income for minimum effort. We all would, that is human nature but lets face it such opportunities just do not exist and if they do no one is going to tell you about it for a few pounds.
So why do we keep falling for such scams?
Because there is a little voice in the back of our brain saying, but what if this is true?
And there is a great longing in us all for it to be true. And before you know where you are the cheque book or credit card has come out.
Internet marketing for instance is a great way to make a very comfortable living. But it is not going to happen overnight or just by spending a few hours a week on your efforts. Mike Filisame has built great personal wealth in about 3½ years, Joel Comm has done very much the same. But to get where they are today they have up to 16 hours a day and sometimes more, they have travelled around the world to build their businesses and reputations and now they are reaping the benefits. You could do the same, but not without working at it.
Before you spend another penny on any business opportunity make sure you remember these two truisms
1. There is no such thing as a genuine “get rich quick” scheme
2. To become and overnight success usually takes between 3 and 20 years, sometimes longer.
And my formula for success: work + determination = success
