The Secrets Of “Free” Giveaways

I am sure like me you have seen emails and websites offering you a ton of products for free or “Grab these ebooks worth $3,400 for free before it’s too late”

The giveaways range from anything from  Free Websites, Free Graphics and Free e-Books to a ready to go turnkey business.

Now I am sure you are able to see the inital problem, yes you are right the free websites all work in the same way, have the same content etc so will never get anywhere on google.  These sites  were the brain child of top IM Guru Mike Filsaime, Mike created his “Butterfly Marketing” package to the public a couple of years ago  and since then these sites have been springing up all over the web! Mike has made well over $1,000,000 from this method and recently released a “Butterfly Marketing Manuscript” that shows in detail how to make these sites work.

Ok but how do these sites make money?  Why give something away?

That’s easy.  Once you  you visit the website you will usually see a brief sales page telling you about the free products on offer etc.  To get these products you have to scroll down the page and normally you will then be asked for your name and email address for the free gifts.

It sounds almost too good to be true doesn’t it? BUT why would these successful webmasters and Internet marketers be giving away all of their top products for free, what’s in it for them?

The first thing to notice is that before you can get anything for free, you are asked to enter your email address. That’s the first thing the IM Guru gets from you, you then have to click a link to validate your email address before you can go further.  Entering and validating your email address automatically subscribes you to the webmasters mailing list so they can send you further offers or promotions. That’s the first thing they are getting out of the “free” giveaway,  Like most IM guru’s i will confess to running these free giveaways

When I join free giveaways I use an address i keep just for these which means although I still gewt the email as sometimes you can pick up good tips, or  some software you might be inetrested in my normal “in” box does not get flooded.

The second, and probably the most important part of the giveaway happens after you submit your email address. Instead of being taken to the free gifts page you will see a “One Time Offer” or OTO as they are often known. These offers are supposed to be special products, at a discount price that as the name suggests, you will only see ONCE! To be able to get your free gifts you need to scroll all the way through the sales page and either purchase the OTO or click on a small link at the bottom of the page that says “No Thanks”.

Don’t be put off by these offers though, granted some of them are offering the same old stuff that you can get anywhere on the net  but others really will be great offers that you won’t be able to find anywhere else so it is always a good idea to read through the sales pages.

After you have got past the OTO page you will then be taken to your members are where you can download the free products you were offered on the first page of the site. However, that’s not all! You will then be able to see a link that says, “Affiliates”. If you click on the link you will be given a unique affiliate link that allows you to promote the product for the webmaster, if any OTO sales are made then you will get a commission paid directly into your affiliate account. One sample is the twitter link I use on this site.

My Personal Opinion

Now that you know exactly what the webmaster is getting from these “Free” giveaways you might think twice before you sign up to any of the sites, HOWEVER please read this section carefully, I will be giving you my own personal thoughts about the giveaway sites.

Please don’t think that I am putting down any of these sites, I still think they are a great way of obtaining top quality products for free and have dopne so on many occasions myself.

The problem at the moment is that these you have to be choosey as to what sites you sign up to as some are crap.  This does mean that some of the  genuinely good giveaways seem to be getting lost amongst the crap which is a real shame!

Let’s take a look at one of the best giveaways I have come across. The giveaway belongs to John “Planetsms” Thornhill and is called Free Monthly Websites. As part of Johns giveaway you receive a FREE brand new google adsense website each and every month. When you sign up for the giveaway you will also see his OTO, at the time of writing he is giving you the chance to own every adsense website he has ever created in the past for a discount “One Time” price. I can honestly say his giveaway is worth signing up for, if only for the OTO alone!

However, compare that with other giveaways that will be offering you a small selection of worthless e-Books for your email address and it’s probably not worth it. If you are careful and only sign up to those giveaway sites that offer real value then you can still find some great deals.

Get Googled in 60 Minutes Video

When i first got an email about this I was very skeptical, however, the sales page had Michael’s email address and said I could email him with any questions.  So I did.

I found Michael to be very honest and responded to his emails very quickly with some good advice.  I therefore decided to go ahead and purchase the ebook and video

New Water 4 Gas Product

If I was to say to you Thirty years ago or even ten  years ago that I bet you could run your VW or indeed any make of car on  water you would probably have though  I had gone mad and called the men i white coats.

However, it seems that running a car on water is the new thing that is spreading across the internet.

There are many internet sites out there that offer instructions on how to build a simple system that will turn your gas guzzler to being water powered

Also, the engine runs a bit quieter while using a water fuel system. That may not sound too manly on those jacked up pickups and Harley motorcycles, but when you consider that your aren’t polluting the air with all of that smog causing carbon emissions, the quieter exhaust is a fair trade off. In order to keep your computer running smoothly it needs some free space

If your computer is two or three years old or you’ve got a
lot of files stored on it, it’s possible that the hard drive
could be filling up.

Windows uses the hard drive to store things temporarily
sometimes, and you need to make sure you have some space
left on the drive. If your hard drive fills up to the point
that there isn’t enough space for Windows to work, your
computer can slow down to a crawl.

It’s a good idea to always make sure you have at least 100MB
of free space, if not more. You can check this by
right-clicking on the C: drive icon in My Computer and then
left-clicking on Properties in the menu that pops up.

The properties window will tell you how much free space is
left on the drive. Make sure it has at least 100MB (100,000
bytes) available. If it has less than that, it might be time
to do a little housecleaning and delete anything that is
just taking up space but you don’t need.
