I don’t know about you but I get very annoyed when I find out that
companies are using 0870 telephone numbers when you need to contact them.
As nearly everyone knows these are charged at a premium rate and can cost
considerably more than if you were phoning a regional number.

For instance my ISP, America Online (AOL) used to have a free 0800 number
for support queries but now they have changed it to 0870 which means all the time you are waiting for someone to take your call you are paying the higher per minute charge. So the longer they keep you waiting the more you pay.

Until recently we were powerless to do anything about this but now thanks to a new web site things have changed. www.saynoto0870.com is a free service which will tell you the non 0870 number that you can dial to avoid being charged the extra amount. All 0870 numbers are based on normal regional telephone lines so you know the regional number you can dial this and avoid any extra charges and in some cases there is also a 0800 free number that you can dial and pay nothing at all.

I am giving you this information just to spread the word and what I would like you to do is pas it on to all your friends and family. Lets stop this profiteering now.

One final tip there are some companies on the Internet who are very loathe to give out their telephone numbers and insist that all their customer support is by e-mail. Try typing in their company name into Saynoto0870 and you might just find out their telephone number.
